Leonardo da Vinci partnership Project “A Way Towards Effective Vocational Training of Deaf/ Hearing Impaired People”
Be-Ge Baltic UAB participates in Leonardo da Vinci partnership project “A Way Towards Effective Vocational Training of Deaf/ Hearing Impaired People” as a partner to Klaipeda Dressmaking and Business School together with partners in Spain, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The third meeting of the project was held on 15 to 18 March 2013 in Dublin (Ireland). The meeting agenda has included interesting and rewarding visits to St Mary’s School for Deaf Girls and Deaf Village Ireland where the project participants have received an impressive picture of how practical and effective solutions combined with traditions and engagement can give very good results.
The project is funded by the European Commission. More information about the project on http://www.effective-vocational-training.eu/.

Be-Ge Baltic UAB, acting within industrial sewing, upholstering and assembly, has four hearing impaired employees. Three of them have worked as seamstresses in the sewing department for thirteen years; one seamstress has worked for eight years.
Long term collaboration with Klaipeda Dressmaking and Business School, which has education programs even for deaf and hearing impaired people, creates opportunities both for students to develop their skills in the profession and for the company to employ trained personnel within cutting and sewing. The company has provided vocational training opportunities for many students within cutting, sewing, upholstering and assembly.
